I was having great difficulty walking due to an old injury catching up with me. After trying, in vain, an orthopaedic specialist and physiotherapy, a friend recommended Steven. I noticed a marked improvement even after the first treatment and was soon back to normal and able to walk my dogs, which seemed little short of miraculous. I can fully recommend Steven's firm but gentle treatment and his friendly approach.

I sustained an injury to my back some 13 years or so ago.

At that time GP prescribed pain killers, muscle relaxants, physio, traction then referral to hospital for x-rays followed by an MRI scan. The outcome of all this was that I was still in horrendous pain barely able to put one foot in front of the other for more than a few steps and the likelihood that an operation would “possibly” solve the problem.

How fabulous then that I discovered Steven Butcher! After my initial consultation I admired his honesty - declaring that he himself was not sure if he could help me – my injury being more severe than I truly understood.

To me Steven is a fantastic Practitioner – he listens, explains the treatment, and is patient and totally professional. Without his careful treatment I would not be walking and doing all the “normal” things that I do today - I got my life back!! Although I have now moved 60 miles away I have no hesitation in travelling to see him for my quarterly MOT!

I have been treated by Steven at the Templewood clinic for many years for a recurring back problem. His care has always been exemplary and professional. The treatment that I receive now is preventative and helps to maintain a healthy back rather than just going when there is a problem.

For 10 years now Steven’s the man I run to when my body’s aches and pains stop me doping what I want to do (gardening mostly). He not only eases the pain but also tells me how to avoid it happening again plus advice on health and fitness. He kept my husband’s hip operation at bay for several years working on his mobility and muscularity and helped me retrieve full range movement after a back operation. A warm welcome in a non-threatening environment – what more can I say!! I can’t recommend him more highly.

I have been coming to Steven for a number of years. Over that time, he has never failed to help me. I have had a problem with my back and Steven's treatment has always got me walking again without pain fairly quickly. I damaged my back quite badly at the beginning of the year and couldn't even get myself out of bed. But Stephen's treatment enabled me to get myself up and out of bed within a couple of days and back at work (commuting to London) within 10 days. 

Recently, I damaged the cartilage in my knee but with Steven's regular help it is now so much better and I am walking more or less normally again. Another treatment should hopefully do the trick! Stephen is friendly, helpful and full of good advice. He is always willing to help someone in pain and has rearranged his schedule on more than one occasion to enable me to get treatment I urgently needed. 

I would have no hesitation in recommending Steven to anyone.
